PROGRAMME: PUMAMARKA - WILLOQ – PATACANCHA ( HORSE RIDING ) 2DAYS /1 NIGHTS

An excellent opportunity for those who want to get to know a couple of picturesque traditional villages in the Sacred valley of the Inca’s.
On this tour we visit Ollantaytambo, a beautiful village where it seems like you are back in the legendary Inca times, as the streets still preserve impressive Inca walls.
Ollanataytambo is our starting point for a tour to the weavers villages of Huilloc and Patacancha and we will also visit the Inca fortress of Pumamarca .

Day 1:
8.00 Pick up from the hotel in Cusco
Transfer to Ollantaytambo
9.45 Arrival to Ollantaytambo, breakfast

10.30 We will start our tour on the main square of Ollantaytambo where we will get on our horses. We will follow a sand road for about 2 hours until we reach the village of Huilloc, a Quechua community and weavers village.
We will have some time to have a look at the handmade products of the local people. After this we will continue our way for about half an hour more till the place where we will enjoy our lunch.

We will reach the heart of all Quechua communities ‘Patacancha’at 3700, at around 16.00. Patacancha is also a weaving community and the people are dressed in their own handmade traditional clothing.
We can visit a family in order to experience the real way people live in the traditional Andean communities. After spending some time visiting the village we will accommodate our tents for the night nearby.
In the evening we will enjoy dinner and a campfire afterwards.


Day 2:
We have breakfast at around 7.00. After this we will get on our horses and return on the same sand road toward Huilloc. From here we continue our way to Marcacocha and Pallata from where we will go uphill for about an hour to the Inca Fortress of Pumamarca. The fortress is a very well preserved archaeological site visited by few tourists. We will have time to walk around at this site and we will also have lunch here. After lunch we will return to Ollantaytambo where we arrive at around 15.00.
In Ollantaytambo there will be some time left to visit the village and the ruins and to have a drink or something to eat.
Return to Cusco by private transport

7 hours Ayahuasca is the "Vine of the Soul", a sacred medicinal power plant, which grows as a vine in the Amazonian rainforest and is a natural psychotropic and hallucinogen.
7 hours The ceremony will take place in Moray, circular terraces in the Sacred Valley. These terraces were used in an agricultural experiment where the Inca’s cultivated corn, quinoa, Panti and Kantu flowers and other plants and flowers.
7 hours Water comes from the God Wirakocha, the creator of the universe, who fertilized Pachamama and allowed the reproduction of life. It is a divinity that is present in the lakes, seas, rivers and all sources of water.

7 hours Temascal is an ancient indigenous tradition in the Americas. It involves a small chamber made from wooden poles and covered with cloth so that its circular interior is totally sealed apart from the door which can also be covered.
