Cleasing Ceremony with water

6 hours

Water comes from the God Wirakocha, the creator of the universe, who fertilized Pachamama and allowed the reproduction of life. It is a divinity that is present in the lakes, seas, rivers and all sources of water.
Water allows the integration of all living things and articulates nature and human society. It is the blood of the earth and the Andean universe. It allows the practice of reciprocation in families, family groups and Andean communities. Water “belongs to everyone and no one”. It belongs to the earth and to all living things, including humans. It is distributed according to necessity, traditions and norms of communities and cyclic availability.
Water behaves according to the ecosystems, seasons and circumstances without following any strict rules. It depends on time, weather and topography. Andean society, like water, is constantly open to all that it faces, incorporating selected elements from other cultures that compliment their own.

Itinerary:

9:00 A.M. Collection at the hotel  and transfer to Tipon. The ceremony will take place in Tipon, an archaeological site, considered a sacred place, where the Incas worship the water
That group is found in a slight and warm ravine at an altitude of 3500 mts. (11480 Ft.). Besides, the terracing found over here is very impressive, it contains 12 very fertile terraces that are still cultivated, and their retaining walls were built with well carved stones. Even more impressive is the irrigation system that is still serving agriculture and was made taking advantage of the water spring existing in the spot. It has carved stone channels, precisely calculated and sometimes with almost vertical falls that all together constitute a hydraulic engineering master work. Likewise, there are some fountains that must had ceremonial duties.
Here, we will take place the ceremony and then we will participate in a kintu cerenmony.
We will return to Cusco approximately at 5 P.M.
