Machupuente: Name of an old bridge made out of ‘sillar’ stone.

Apachato: Very close to the Machu Puente there is a small village called Apachato which has a Jesuit temple made out of sillar stone similar to the stone found in the high Andean villages. The most interesting aspects of Apachato probably are the ritual elements representing the death.

At the archaeological site of Apachato we will be able to appreciate the fusion of Inca culture with Colonial culture.

Taqrachullo (Maria Fortaleza): Archaeological complex with chullpas and remains of the fence of the Yachayhuasi (house of knowledge or school)

Mauk’allacta: Peculiar archaeological complex with the presence of 44 big circular and semi-circular constructions obviously influenced by cultures from the ‘altiplano’ like Wari and Qollao.

At the end of the tour we visit the impressive Cañon de Suykutambo, an excellent place for nature observation, known for places like ‘Tres Cañones’ where 3 rivers come together; Apurimac, Callamani and the Cerritambo river and go on as the Apurimac river.
