Apu Ausangate

6DAYS / 5NIGHTS

Duration:w

6 days / 5 nights

Description:

The Apu Ausangate is the mountain that most strongly represents the Cusco-Andes. It exists out of a great massive with various mountain peaks, the highest at 6372 meters.

The turquoise lakes, widespread highlands, and rocky forests convert the area into a paradise with a moon landscape, completely isolated from the modern world. To walk on Ausangate enjoying the stunning surrounding nature is an inexpressible experience.
It is impossible not to be impressed with the eternal snow and the sunsets. It is common to find needle shaped rocks that stick out on more than 5000 meters, with icicles that fall down in a dazzling way and form beautiful glacial lakes.

The Ausangate circuit is one of the most interesting attractions of Cusco, but until now not very often visited by tourists.
