Saints Week in Ayacucho

7:00 a.m. Arrival by bus or plane in Ayacucho, reception in terminal or airport and transfer to your hotel of choice.
8:00 a.m. Breakfast
10:00 a.m. City tour on foot (2 hrs.), we visit the main square and other places of interest.
15:00 p.m. We board a tour bus to explore the city further as we visit traditional districts, Santa Ana artisan zone, the look out point, museums, mansions and temples amongst others.

6:00 a.m. Breakfast
7:00 a.m. Excursion to Vilcashuaman, along the way we will see the Chupas plain and Cachi project, the Raymondi forest, sun dial, Pomacocha Lake, the Inca ruins of the sun and moon temples ,Ushno and the omen stone amongst others. On the way back we visit the village of Pomacocha which has a beautiful church and convent. Throughout the trip we can enjoy the beautiful Andean scenery and diverse ecological settings.
13:00 p.m. Lunch box
15:00 p.m. Return to the city
20:00 p.m. The procession of St. Sepulcro

9:00 a.m. Visit to the ruins of the first great Wari Empire, artisan and ceramic workshops in Quinua, site museum, capitulation house, Ayacucho plains the scene of the battle of the same name, Pikimachay cave and traditional places in Huanta.
14:00 p.m. Lunch – Pachamanca
17:00 p.m. Return to the city
20:00 p.m. Bar or disco

Purification Ceremony

Temascal is an ancient indigenous tradition in the Americas. It involves a small chamber made from wooden poles and covered with cloth so that its circular interior is totally sealed apart from the door which can also be covered.

Aramu Muru

Situated 35 kilometers from Puno and very close to Lake Titicaca, amidst green fields, we find what is considered one of the wonders of the region: The door of Aramu Muru, a stone construction seven meters wide and seven meters tall.
