Winter Solstice ( Hatun Kuski Killa)
Seventh month of the year, the most significant solar festival, Wiracocha is invoked in order to reinforce the astral radiance. The use of sacred fire is important as through its smoke the celestial space is reached.
This is the moment of the union between the father Sun and Pachamama. During a special ceremony we help the sun to return (wilka kuti). This is the time of social and universal renovation; the day is the longest and the night is the shortest of the year.
